FAMILY SERVICES
Family Services provides family preservation services in-home to families in the local community. A collaborate effort is made with the Department of Children and Families, and Big Bend Community Based Care in order to preserve the well-being of all families in the community. Services are provided to families whose children are at risk of becoming involved in the dependency system due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
The Goals of the Family Services programs are:
• To maintain children safely in their own homes, reducing the need for out-of-home placement of children in families where substance abuse is a significant risk factor.
• To reunify children with their families safely and appropriately by providing services that address case plan goals relating to substance abuse.
• To reduce or eliminate the use of drugs and alcohol by clients served.
• To improve the social and emotional functioning of the families served.
